Elevate your essential wardrobe with a garment that takes the collection's pleating language to its most deconstructed extreme.
Our Frayed Coulisse Mini Skirt shares its DNA with the grey laser mini — individually stitched pleats, laser perforations, double face denim — but here the construction dissolves at every edge into raw fringe, and the waist closes not with a band but with a drawstring tied directly into the fabric. Entirely Made in Italy, this piece is crafted for those who want their denim to feel like it arrived on its own terms.
The body is deep indigo double face denim, pleated in the full radial fan that defines the collection's skirt silhouette — each fold individually stitched to hold its three-dimensional volume permanently, the pleats fanning outward from a gathered waist into a short, full hem. The double face construction reveals itself at the lower edge, where both fabric surfaces are simultaneously visible — indigo on one side, lighter grey twill on the other — the two faces of the cloth exposed by the deliberate absence of any hem finish.
At the waist, the closure is a coulisse: a drawstring threaded directly through the waistline fabric, its ends emerging as frayed denim ties that hang freely and are knotted to adjust the fit. The drawstring itself is cut from the same denim, its edges unfinished and fraying, so that the act of fastening the skirt involves handling raw material — tactile, living, slightly different each time.
Laser-cut perforation clusters punctuate each pleat at the lower body — the same small circular holes as the grey mini, here set against deep indigo where they read as negative space carved into the dark ground. The entire perimeter of the skirt — waist edge, side edges, hem — is left raw and heavily frayed, the denim's weft threads extracted and freed in a continuous halo of loose fibre that moves with the body and grows more individual with wear. No two pieces will fray identically. The skirt changes as it is worn.
Take care of your garments to extend their lifespan. Wash only when necessary to preserve the deep indigo tone, the laser perforations, and the natural evolution of the frayed edges.
